  5. Will you be carrying any cask beers and are you going to expand your tap beer selection a little more. I do go to your Grey Lodge and i don't expect a selection like that but i would like to see a few more selections on tap and maybe a cask.

  6. 1) Cask Ales - we hope to get a beer engine in eventually, where we will almost always have a hopbomb on tap.

    2) Black Beers - we already ran Kostritzer, Sprecher Black Bavarian, and Dark Horse Schwarzbier, 3 halves of each. German style black beer are not always available (many are seasonal), but we will try to work some more back into the rotation ASAP.

    3) We hope to make an announcement soon that will excite the hopheads while remaining German in style. Stay tuned...

Please keep the suggestions coming. Thanks!

  7. And I think you need to acknowledge key German holidays as well.. Beethoven's birthday or perhaps the day the Berlin wall came down (November 9).

  8. Syllogism, German holidays are a great idea! When lent comes around, we will be doing up Starkbierfest to the fullest. We will slowly add more as time as goes on.

Anyone have suggestions for holidays? Any suggestions on how to celebrate Wall Falling Day?

  9. Fasching is a big carnival right before Lent in February. Costumes,etc... The Grunds use to have it for their regular customers back in the day. Probably be a fun event for you guys too.

  10. Fasching aka Karnival is a very interesting idea. It's pretty much Mardi Gras with brigades and krews. It would need to have a various small krews competing.

"Today there are elaborate parades (Umzüge) in all the large and small communities where Fasching is celebrated. Floats and marchers displaying large caricature heads often lampoon regional and national politicians. Another part of the celebration involves Carnival royalty (princes, princesses) and a sort of "counter-government" during the season."
