Working out the kinks

Hey! It's Patrick, reporting from the kitchen. In response to several concerns that food is not hot enough, we have incorporated warming measures. We have blocked off kitchen air flow that may be causing the food to cool, and are also warming our plates.
We look forward to seeing you for lunch or dinner!
Coming soon--Look for the 'Sunday Prime Rib Special.'

  1. How about a vegetarian sandwich or two on the menu?

  2. My wife and I enjoyed a great traditional German dinner last night. We were early for dinner, but our server Kris informed us the the kitchen was ready to serve up from both the dinner or lunch menu. My wife enjoyed her first ever Jager Schnitzel (veal with mushroom gravy) and I opted for the Kassler Rippchen (smoked pork chop). Everything from Chef Matt and our server was perfect! The beer selection was excellant and we given super advice as to options. We're very happy that the Brauhous tradition will continue at this historic location and we'll be returning soon to enjoy some lunch!

  6. My wife and I came down on Friday night. Glad we did. The place was hopping. Had the Jäeger Schnitzel mit Spaetzles. Very good. Compliments to the chef!! Glad to see the old German fare back and the atmosphere of what was a great restaurant! The food was great and the beer was good too as was the company at the bar!

  8. Had an awesome lunch today. The pork shoulder sandwich was great, the fries done perfectly, and I washed it all down with a Troegenator.

The server was great - she obviously knows the ins and outs of the menu. Very attentive.

I wish I could have tried a few types of the beers - maybe a sampler where you can try tiny glasses of maybe 4 beers of your choice from the taps can be put on the menu?

    I'll be back soon. 8-)

  9. We are long time patrons of the Old Brauhaus and were happy to see you have reopened. Went there last night and enjoyed it very much. Service was excellent. My only suggestion for improvement would be to bring back the home baked bread and serve the coffee hot.

  10. - We'll figure out flights (samplers) this week, hopefully in time for the weekend.

    - We do plan to bring back house made bread. We still have those wonderful ovens. It just wasn't something we could pull off day one.

    - We'll have outside seating up and running in the spring.

    - I'm working on something that will make the hopheads happy.

    thanks everyone!
