ReplyDeletei'm a fox chase resident. can't wait for the hop angel!
ReplyDeleteYou're right, your landlady is awesome. I worked at the Blue Ox when she and her family ran it, amazing people.
ReplyDeleteAs I told you a couple weeks ago fellas, Its going to blow your minds how well you are going to do here. With a great purveyor across the street (Reikers) it will bring the place back to the days of great food coupled with a choice of great beers
ReplyDeleteIn a time with so much horrible crap bombarding us in the news, this is truly a blessing! Can't wait for the opening.
ReplyDeleteMy freinds and I (all Fox Chase/Rockledge/Elkins Park residents) are really looking forward to the opening. Will you have live music? That was a feature that we really enjoyed at the Blue Ox.
ReplyDeleteI think you should schedule a "preview" party for the people who have signed up for your newsletter
ReplyDeleteWhen we are really ready for the public, the newsletter will be the first folks to know. thanks for your support and patience. It will be any day now.
ReplyDeleteAll the Bauhaus regulars can't wait!
ReplyDeleteWait, was last night's opening just a test night? Regardless, the place looked great and beer and food were delicious!
ReplyDeletewhat? I missed it ? I actually said last night would be a perfect night to hit the new pub.
ReplyDeleteLooking very forward to your opening. Have traveled from Abington to Harbison Avenue many times to enjoy your beers, food, and atmosphere. Do we have a date yet? My fellow workers and I look forward to a Great Local Lunch Spot!
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with your new establishment Mike.
ReplyDeleteSincerely,
Ray Clothier
My family really enjoyed the Greylodge, but we rarely got over that way. I'm thrilled that you guys are taking over such an attractive and close by historic building! My husband is really into the microbrew thing...he can't wait! Please open soon...looking forward to some great food, too.
ReplyDeleteI hope you replaced the bathrooms - they were dirty and disgusting. I also hope you didn't get "Don" with the purchase.
ReplyDelete1) Bathrooms are the same, but clean. We'll get around to upgrading them in a little bit.
ReplyDelete2) Thanks Ray. Hope to run into you soon.
3) No date for lunch yet. Please give us a two or three weeks to get more kitchen staff.
We wish you both the best of luck with the opening of the Hop Angel Brauhaus. It was a smart decision for bringing back the German theme and for rehiring Agnes, Bill and Don. We couldn't think of three better people to lend their skills, talent and professionalism to the success of your business.
ReplyDeleteScoats dropped in last night and had a wonderful evening. Thumbs up to the house made head cheese, the perfectly dressed house salad, and the country pate. Can't wait to come back and enjoy the Schnitzel and Wurst.
ReplyDeleteBeerwise it was wonderful to have the mixture of both German and US Beers in style of german beers. Duck Rabbit and Kostrizer made the night. And the Manyunk Alt was a nice change too. Triple thumbs up for the beer glasses!
Cheers,
Chris
Thanks Chris. Glad you had a wonderful time. Chef Matt is really awesome. We are so lucky to have him on the team.
ReplyDeleteGlad you like the balance of US and imported German style beers. Since many of the local German styles are seasonal, we will be mixing up the draft line-up regularly.
Dear Anonymous,
ReplyDeleteI'm extremely happy Agnes, Bill and Don are back. Great places happen because of great people. It's great to see them back where they belong and where they want to be. Having people you can rely on making it much easier to run a business.
